ESPT Dubai - United Arab Emirates is introducing multistrand anchorages system 2 to 37 strands European approved system into bridges, Water tanks, silos and other structures.
- The anchorage component comprises of Anhor head in steel, the prestressing steel strand are indvidually anchored with wedges in conical holes within the anchor head
- The bearing Plate supports the anchor head and transfers the prestressing force into the structural concrete, the bearing plate provides a centric aperture of passing through the tendon, at the inner end, the sheath is connected to the bearing plate
- Additional reinforcement, required as bursting rebar around the anchorages
- additional reinforcement of ribbed reinforcing steel comprises helix and stirrups, it confines the structural concrete to facilitate the transfer of the prestressing force
- grouting cap or protection cap is attached to the anchorage to encase the anchor head with the wedges and prestressing steel strands for corrosion protection the cap is completely filled with the corrosion protection filling material
- tendon range are being used in the UAE Market are 2 to 37 strands nominal cross section of the prestressing steel and characteristic maximum force of tendon are given within the ETA approval

Multi-strand anchorages system typically are used in building, where required for beams or other application alike transfer girders and transfer slabs, whereas applications extended mainly into civil construction projects such as bridges ( segemental construction, Precast-posttension girders ) and other applications
